Managerial Merrygoround

And so it goes on, the latest being Chris Wilder, sacked seven months ago by Sheffield Wednesday has just replaced Neil Warnock at Middlesbrough. It's a closed shop where once a guy has failed at one club there's another waiting on the wings to sign him on! How are the new young blood going to get a chance?

Don't look my way, Nellie, old Friend  surprised  too busy keeping them agent bods away from David Artell at Crewe's Porridge Pitch !!

Up Down and Shake it all about  innocent  -- one day those Muppets will realise there are only so many trophies / promotions a year for clubs to achieve and the rest of us have to do our very best with limited resources !

Now Brian's off to bed to dream of consecutive  promotions and a good run in a couple of cups  firstly to give the Fans a boost, then bring a few quid into Clubs coffers,  so good night  kiss  !!

You could add Mr Smith to that. Sacked by the Villa and within days favourite for the Norwich job

Warnock was down to go at end of season Nellie, and Wilder expressed interest. He was being hunted by another Club, so Boro owner did the deal. He’s worked his way through ranks, we saw him play for Sheffield Wednesday not that long ago. Not a bad signing for us, but it’s hard for those wanting to get a foot on managerial rung. Unless you are Steven Gerrard. 😂

Rovers have got a manager some fans would be more than happy to be rid of. Many of us have pledged to stay away while he's in charge! yell

PS - I think it was the other Sheffield lot that got rid of Chris Wilder wasn't it? He was always going to be in demand given his record with The Blades, not to mention Northampton and Oxford before that. A good bloke with a number of promotions to his name. Should be a good fit at Middlesborough.

I’m losing count of the number of times this season that Town have faced or are about to face a team who have just changed manager and therefore get the” new manager bounce” with unfortunately predictable result.
Middlesbrough come to the JSS a week on Saturday, just time for Mr Wilder to get them playing better GRR

Now you can add Barnsley to the list.  New manager and we play them in a fortnight

And Gol has left the Swamp.

Something very wrong there, he seemed to have built a really good squad, but it just hasn’t worked out this season for whatever reason. 🤔.

Good luck, Gol, always seems to be a genuine nice bloke.

Any guesses who will be the next manager at the Swamp, on  the managerial merrygoround……..🤔🤔🤔

Norwich are a really good Championship team but not much cop in the top flight so I didn’t see the point in sacking DF just as he won his first Premier game just to bring someone in who had been sack by a rival club.  The cost to clubs for this merry go round must be phenomenal
