Olympics = Greed

Why is it that when this country holds a special occasion that the workers employers hold it to ransom?? Just been reading bus drivers in London have called a strike during the Olympics asking for £500 extra for the duration, added to taxi drivers, tube drivers, and reading that hotels, have hiked their prices up to between 220 and 415  per night. Why can we not be content with overtime, just the plain fact that for the duration the hotel, guest houses etc would be full to capacity for a change and be grateful, no wonder this country is going to the dogs, people are driving it there with pure greed...... i for one having lost my Job with heart problems and struggling to find another  would be well happy to drive a bus, taxi, train and be well happy doing overtime ......... sorry rant over....
