I see the BBC have just released the nominees for this years sports personality of the year, they are:

Diver Tom Daley, boxer Tyson Fury, swimmer Adam Peaty, tennis player Emma Raducanu, footballer Raheem Sterling and Paralympic cyclist Dame Sarah Storey.

I must say it's not a very inspiring list, but then again i don't know who else they could have chosen, maybe, overall, it was a dull year for sport!

I can't believe the BBC even run the programme anymore, considering how little sport they broadcast nowadays!

ER will win, because she's a tennis player.....enough said!

Thought Cav might have deserved a nomination 🤔

OH thinks he won the award a few years ago, but I don’t remember. 🙂🚴‍♂️.

(that’s Cav, not OH that won) 🙂

Well she didn't have much opposition really did she? Wonder why Kevin Sinfield wasn't on the short list, or at least recognised in some way, for all that he has done to raise funds for and awareness of Motor Neuron Disease?

I did not watch the show so perhaps he was mentioned but there is nothing in any of the reports that I have read of the ceremony.

He was mentioned and a short video clip featuring him shown.
Amazing and wonderful as his fundraising has been not sure which category he would have fallen into?

Kevin Sinfield OBE, quite rightly Nellie, deserves special mention. After raising £2.7m last December and currently £2.25m for his Extra Mile Challenge, he deserved more than a 20 second slot on SPOTY. I admire the man greatly for all the work he's done in raising money for research into MND. Doddy Weir too deserves special mention (no doubt he'll be mentioned next year along with Rob Burrow) It was nice to see Simone Biles recieve her award and for bringing mental awareness issues, so publicly, to the fore.

Kevin Sinfield doesn't deserve a paltry award from BBC, he deserves a Knighthood.
