And what a way to kick off the new season of rugby league!

A local derby between the two Hull teams, every bit as competitive as the Manchester or Liverpool premier league footie matches. And a great win for the Robins (sorry about that, Mikey! ).

And with BBC showing quite a few live matches this year, starting tomorrow, it's a great shot in the arm for the sport and, hopefully, will attract a new and larger audience.

Yes, what with London Broncos rejoining the party it should be an interesting season. Disappointing result for FC, many Black and White fans must have been pulling their hair out, not just with the lack lustre performance but particularly with that sending off, which in my opinion was totally justified. One game does not make a season mind.

Just watched the Cas v Wigan game at The Jungle (appropriately named given the conditions.) Had to chuckle at the fact that Rugby League is marketing itself as a summer game!
