We've only gone and won the league!!!

When I retired just over 3 years ago I took up bowling as a sport which was competitive but at just the right level in a pleasant sociable environment. It started as a one day a week thing then went to two, then three – you know the way these things go. This year I’m playing for 4 league teams. Three of them are bumbling along in what could laughingly be called the relegation zone if there was a lower league with worse teams to be relegated to.    

But the fourth team – wait for it – has today won their league and with 3 games still to go! We’re all very excited about it because we all took up the sport at the same time and have played against some teams with much more experience. So quite an achievement. 

Why am  telling you this ? Well, Mrs M is fed up of hearing me talk about it so I have to look for a wider audience to share the news with – hope you don’t mind!!!
