I agree with ABM's post, it's very sad, I didn't enjoy watching the young skater yesterday, she is very talented but her life has been subsumed by the adults in charge of her. However the Olympic Committee have responsibilities here and they have let everyone down. Oh well back to the bobsleighs...

I agree brue. What is the point of having the competition if no medals are to be awarded. It’s become all about the ROC athlete, and none of the others. Personally, I think better for her to withdraw, clear her name, then come back and compete again. She is young enough. A win will taint her for life. It does sound like she is a victim here, although the defence is that she was too close to her Grandad’s angina medicineπ€
It’s interesting when you look back and see how many medal wins from different Olympics have been scrubbed from the records. 31 positive drug tests from London 2012 alone. Vast majority were Russian athletes in this case. So sad as it denies others the chance to stand on a podium at the time of victory.

A Russian and now a Ukrainian tested positive-oh how they love the limelight, for all the wrong reasons
Moving on…….WOW!! Britain now have 2 teams going for gold in the curling events!!! Brilliant to watch them, particularly the thrilling women’s semifinal!
