I was reading about Egan's training fall and it sounded horrific. As he said not only is he lucky to be alive but also very lucky to not to be paralysed. Good luck to him and hope he makes a full recovery but whether he will ever be the same rider again is questionable.

Yes read the reports. There was another Columbian with the Ineos team, Brandon Rivera, who also crashed when out practicing and is in the same Bogota hospital as Bernal. It seems that EB ride into the back of a bus!!

Hope they both make a full recovery and are back racing again this year.

I am disappointed that we have a World and Olympic Champion yet Boris, he of the bike fame, did not mention it earlier in the commons?!!

Listening to his interview after winning it appears that TP has victory at the other two world championships, Mountain Bike and Road Race, in his sights. One thing you can say about him is that he isn't short of confidence.
