Wow! What a day full of adventure we have had today. We went along to our local pet shop, they had a special event day, and part of it was to raise funds for an Exotic Animal Rescue group. They took along some seriously exotic animals and the public were encouraged to meet them and pick them up and handle them. At one point I had a 14 foot Python draped around me, who weighed a ton! Followed by two fabulous Royal Pythons, a Tarantula, I passed on the eight inches of millipede, but fell in love with a skunk and a meerkat. It is a true privilege to be able to get so close to such fabulous creatures. All had been rescued from neglect or from people with no idea of how to properly care for them. Anyone else had a taste of exotic pets?
