Red Squirrels

Staying at the municipal site in Obernai, France, and strolling into town this morning a red squirrel dashed across the road and climbed a tree in somebody's garden right next to the main road. We watched it for 5 minutes and were amazed. I thought that they were quite rare, certainly I have never seen one where they are supposed to be, like Brownsea Island.
