The storks nest below is in Germany at a place called Winsen Aller.  To my certain knowledge this nest has been used since I was a serving in the Army their in the mid 1960's.  The other nesting site in the village has now been used to house aerials. These nests can weigh upwards of half a tone so the authority's have to check the structure every so often.  Whilst watching the nest we noticed that other birds (maybe sparrows) seem to be nesting within its confines.
