Looks as though we will view some spectacular fireworks in the night sky as it is believed that Betelgeuse will go Super Nova in the next months/year. Betelgeuse is in Orion constellation and shows red at the moment.  Astronomers are getting really excited as our ringside seat, about 650 light years away, should be incredible. It’s possible the event has already happened but the light hasn’t reached us yet.

A supernova is the biggest explosion that humans have ever seen. Each blast is the extremely bright, super-powerful explosion of a star.
