Model railways

Have just started building a model railway based on the British railway years, it will be two tracks maybe three running round and then sidings and a locoshed with turntable. I have had it built before but doing it slightly different this time. As anyone run with dcc as this is the system I intend using,can anyone give me pointers on this system.
