Welcome to all Dog lovers & generally Canine minded Folk. I have started this to enable a Thread to be used-in the Pet section with a title 'I love Dogs' so there will be no problems with attracting the right Posters, and the 'wrong Posters' give it a swerverCool. I am mainly a working Dog Lover, I have had-J/Russells, Retrievers, Lurchers. Currently have 2 White Cockapoo's. Mum & Daughter. Not my kind of Dogs(at first) the OH fell in love with the Breed a year after losing the Retriever. Now I couldn't imagine life without them. You either love Dogs or don't, if you do then life without them really is empty. I feel for the none Dog Folk, not knowing the joys of owning Dogs. But I'm not stupid enough to believe just because I love em everyone should. So if you would like to talk Canine, please be my guestSmile

Thanks for the tale, Rocky.

There's no need to wish you a great day as you're already having one๐Ÿ‘

Thanks Tinster๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™‚. It’s a good point that-sometimes we just need to stop & smell the flowers. It’s a crazy world of pain , death & strife right now but Dogs & Mother Nature are always there & never let us down๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Cooler this morning & sunny, much better for man & beasts. Happy but exceptionally wet Dogs. The hay is cut on the meadow & has had its first turn for drying, the Dogs love running over it at speed. They were drenched but happy to be out of the heavy humidity Iโ€™m thinking. They are now curled up on the sofa on double beach towels, happy days. Only one sighting of a Roe Buck this morning, I just caught sight of his velvet covered tines slipping thru the near copse. I expected to see a great many more Deer since the lockdowns but thus far theyโ€™ve not fed thru to more hooves on the ground. Someone will be enjoying the increase in numbers. Have a great day๐Ÿ˜Š

This made me smile, Rocky.  Last month we were staying on our favourite CS, near Malton - an arable farm and equestrian centre.  I always take Meg for her morning walk on the cross country course across the road, where she has about 200 acres to romp around in!  As we went through the gate into the first field, I noticed that the hay had recently been cut and baled but there was quite a lot still scattered over the ground. As soon as she saw it, she went crackers - racing around in circles - faster and faster until, eventually exhausted, she flopped onto her belly, panting like mad and looking at me as if to say "I'm having a great time".  Don't know what it is about the hay but she adores it.  Can't believe she's 8 this year - she looked more like a big puppy! It's lovely to see a happy dog and I can understand why she enjoys going there with us.
