Sorry to hear of your loss. he looked like he was a lovely boy. You will always have the wonderful memories of the time you had with him
My 9 year old BC has just started to suffer with his hips but it hasn't slowed him down much so far.

So sorry but you have wonderful memories of a fantastic dog. I still miss our lovely Poppy who died two years ago. We did get another dog, a red and white Border Collie who is a totally different personality with some problems but he is still a star just like Poppy. I'm sure Rory had a wonderful life with you and that's what matters. A very handsome boy.

Thanks for your replies - they are appreciated.
One thing that I realised after his demise was how few pictures and clips I'd taken throughout his lifetime.
I don't want to get morbid but it's only when they aren't there that you realise what a large part they'd played in our lives for a decade or more.

Like other dog lovers on here I understand your feelings. We had to say goodbye to our lovely boy 3 weeks ago, I find I can't look at photos of him at the moment as it upsets me. He was a beautiful Pointer nearly 14 yrs old. We have another one who is 10 and on meds for Arthritis, we went away last week which was quite traumatic for us all being the first time without him. We now have a problem in as much as we can't leave the other dog as she howls and is so lost without him, after their walk they used to sleep in the Motorhome when we went out (we have air con.) but she gets really distressed. Has anyone got any suggestions that might help her.(I can't think of getting another dog yet)
