Hi, my big long haired but very friendly german shepherd is coming to spain with us but I an reading conflicting things on various blog sites. He.s been to france with us and well received everywhere, as the French appear to be a nation of dog lovers, but, I hear spain can be a little different? I am led to believe he may even be classed as a potential dangerous breed? I assure you , he,s a big softy. so I have prepared to purchase muzzles, for public places, and keep him off the beach. has anyone got any advice or experience of traveling to spain with a big dog, we are going to costa brava,
Ray

We went to the Costa Brava last September. We had a great holiday staying near the beach at Pals.  At the last minute we changed our mind and left our two Jack Russells at home. We were so pleased that we did. Dogs were not allowed on any of the beaches on the Costa Brava. We would have been unable to leave them in the caravan because the temperatures were far too hot. We had all the caravan windows and sky lights open all day and all night. If left there they would have jumped out of the window. We’d taken one dog on many trips around Europe in the past but we were so glad we left them at home on this occasion.
