Love that area of the Lakes, brue - when we're there I always go into the little church to pay tribute to the great man AW! smile

Under that little arch to left of the road as in my photo and could be dancing to a well know song, we were in the campsite opposite of the river in 2018.

When I was at school we used to sing Sur le point etc. surely you wouldn't be dancing under the bridge but on the bridge🤔

My photo seems to have disconnected, but I'm sure that you'll find that people were dancing au desous the bridge! It seems to be a subject of disagreement sur or sous. Try googling itsmileThis was taken in our first outing to France in our motorhome in 2004! Still got the same one.

Lift your eyes to Haystacks his favourite mountain

Paid my respects at Innominate Tarn too, where Pillar and Gable keep unfailing watch.

" And if you, dear reader, should get a bit of grit in your boot as you are crossing Haystacks in the years to come, please treat it with respect. It might be me."

Marvellous words! smile
