While travelling to and from Great Yarmouth on Tuesday this week I spotted a number of vehicles from the DVLA which were parked up on the side of main roads.  These vehicles had a camera mounted on a tripod adjacent to the car which was recording the number plates of all passing vehicles.  A sign next to the car explained that it was a check for untaxed vehicles.

An easy win situation....I wonder how many they have caught using this technique?
