I think one of the most significant things about WoW was the 1938 radio broadcast in the US when thousands of people thought it was a real invasion๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Have to admit I rather liked the TV adaptation , taking it to the apocalyptic ending was certainly a different angle. Saw the live show a few years back at the O2 arena , when Justin Hayward was in it , there was a CGI image of Richard Burton narrating, spooky but very spectacular .๐Ÿ˜€.

I would stick with the book AD, and try the musical version if you want a different telling of the tale.

Just watched the first episode. Frankly, I found it abysmal. There’s little tension, the actors seem to spend most of their time gaping open mouthed at next to nothing, and the made up sub plot is adding nothing to the story. A waste of a decent cast to be honest.๐Ÿ™
