Not being well up on this computting lark, so this suggestion may be bonkers, but here goes:-

As the site is so slow and getting slower perhaps the reason is that it cannot cope with all the old posts it holds. Why don't the powers that be remove some of the ealier post that are no longer relevant. General Chat has thousands of ancient ones. Couldn't they just leave those from the last couple of months. This would clear a lot of space.

When Justin was keeping us informed of the state of play, he said storage isn’t the issue. I forget what he said the problem was but apparently 3 million old threads/posts doesn’t cause the hiccups we experience.

Whatever happened to Justin?

Wasn’t it something about Charles Babbage having designed the servers 😂and they were in urgent need of an upgrade. Which of course costs 💷💷

That was the chappie I was trying to think of in a recent post of mine. Yet another from HO who has disappeared over the horizon, like many before him😊

im getting the 'internal server error' message when trying to access the 'site protocol' thread.

if booking customers were getting this sort of message umpteen times a day it would be resolved pretty darn quickly!

probably shows where CT sits in the portfolio of systems....

Has been reported on another post BB, but doubt anything will come of it.

I thought Justin just gave us a load of waffle to try and keep us quiet surprised

At least he took the trouble to communicate with us. Unfortunately, he got beaten with a big stick by some so perhaps it's not surprising he gave up.
