It is very easy to get carried away on CT and think we are addressing all the members and all the staff to boot, but it became very apparent at our Region Question Time last weekend that there is still a big divide - PC and Non PC. Yes it would be wonderful if everyone used a computer, wouldn't it speed everything up ! But I do think everyone sometimes needs reminding that there is still a proportion of the membership who do not have computer access. A big bugbear at the meeting was still the Listings (or rather, lack of in the mag). There were still some people who DID appear to have computers but for some reason or another had decided it was too difficult to access these on-line, and no amount of anyone telling them how much MORE information was there now would convince them to give it another try. So, Calling All Centres... If you have a newsletter, you now get a paper copy of the listings from HQ, why not print your own listings page (not the whole thing - just a month or two at a time !) ON PAPER for your members ??? Simple solution really.
