Yes, I'll have to clear the history on my phone to see if that reveals all! (Hopefully?) I don't think the avatar system has ever been easy to use or functioning reliably across all devices.

A couple of weeks ago I toyed with the idea of changing mine. Fortunately I forgot about it. Isn't age a wonderful thing? Now I don't think I'll bother.

I know most of you know the difference, but for those that think 'History' and 'Cache' are the same thing, they are not.

Browser Cache keeps on your computer a download of the sites information, such as logos, pictures etc, as the Browser thinks its quicker to pull these repeating things from your computer rather than download it again.Clearing the cache just means emptying it, so the next time you display a webpage, everything must be downloaded from new so no old stuff is displayed.

History is kept by your browser and just keeps a log, and tracks where you have been.

It may be that your model is too old for the latest one. A quick bit of research will tell you if yours can be upgraded. Not that it is always beneficial. Some of the apps have lost aspects of functionality that were available in earlier versions.

I should have added that clearing Android cache isn't needed as the Android system does it's own sorting but to resolve the glitch I did it this time round.
