Hobby Caravans on CAMC sites

Hi, there is so much conflict on so many social media sites about where Hobby Caravans are allowed, I have been told by a warden on a CAMC site that Hobby caravans are BANNED, however he did not have the decency to say which site, quite happy to scaremonger but not actually say where he was.  I am sure this will provoke a major discussion but all I need to know is do all CAMC sites accept Hobby caravans and if not which ones do not.  Incidentally for those who are insular and narrow minded about Hobby Caravans this is an interesting statistic;  Hobby have held the world’s top position in caravan production since 2003. 55% of their caravans are exported; for motorhomes, this figure stands at 52%. Look forward to your responses. Chrissmile

If you have concerns address head office I know of no Hobby bans on CC sites. Some of the longer hobbies may not be permitted on some sites just as some of the longer UK ones might exceed the permitted shipping length for a particular site as the length that sites can accept does vary

The only "problem" I can see with Hobby caravans is that they are usually very long and wide and heavy , which might cause a problem on some sites ,there are other similar makes that also may be a problem as they normally need a very large tow vehicle to stay legal when on the movewink

They definitely aren't banned. I'll report your post in the hope of getting the official word on it

There is probably some animosity as the majority of Hobby caravans are owned by the travelling community especially the larger ones.

I am not aware of any issues with Hobby vans on Club sites although you don't see that many. Some of them are quite large and might be restricted on a size basis if the site can't accommodate the length. Some wardens might be weary if they suspect the owner of the van was a member of the travelling community which could cause difficulties once on site but I would have thought there would be ways of validating membership. It is also possible that some AS sites, which are not run or owned by the Club, have different rules.
