Hi Everyone. Just joined club having bought our first Motorhome this month.
Please excuse our ignorance but hope someone can enlighten me what the difference is between 32 amp and 16 amp hook up.  My son just looked at booking a site which offered a choice and we don’t know which to choose.
We have a 2010 Elddis Autoquest and I have scoured the handbook and can’t see 32 amp mentioned anywhere.

Hi and welcome.

I have never found a site offering 32amp hook up. Club sites are normally 16amp and private sites often much less. The figure refers to the amps supplied by the hook up bollard and nothing to do with what’s in your MH. 16 amp is normally plenty but be aware of the watts you use in your appliances, including your heating and hot water.

Check out this LINK for some basic lekky supply info. It doesn’t matter that it’s headed 'caravan' the same applies to MHs.

32 amp connection in a domestic outdoor environment is a common requirement for hot tubs and spas, is it possible this is a service offered by the site with some of its static accommodation? Might be worth checking if the electrics are metered as you might need an overdraftsurprised
