Hello to all.

We are new to Caravanning. Tried camping in a family sized tent last year, was suprised that my wife enjoyed it, but my twin daughters did not settle. Finally gave in to my wifes requests to go for a touring van and purchased a 98 ABI Jubilee Viceroy. Its in tidy condition, had it serviced and just been away to Ladram Bay in Devon and then onto Cotswalds. Almost died laughing on the first morning when one of the 7 year olds awoke, had a stretch and said "I think thats the best nights sleep of my life" !!

So far so good - never towed before but got on ok with it, even reversed it down our drive on our return!!

I only have one question.......so far, and please forgive the long intro!!

I purchased a second hand awning, which didn't go smoothly!!. I measured the A frame and got 930cm which matched up what I was finding on the internet so I went for an awning 925 - 950 size 12. Found one local on gumtree and bought it. When I finally managed to unpack it a week or so later it states its a size 11. (I was also told it was a dorema but its a Sunncamp Prestige). So, I was panicking if it would fit but having finally managed to set it up it actually seems to big? I set it up at Ladram and the beading comes out the end of each channel by about 2 to 3 inches, this means when you peg it there is essentially no tension at the floor level and the thing just hangs there.I did have a nose around the which was not much help. Some awnings looked tidy but some looked far worse than mine!!!

I suppose the question is, does any have or has owned a ABI jubilee Vicreroy, if so, what size awning did you have?

As I said, sorry for waffling and Hi to all - Gav
