We purchased our first van in 2013, a 1999 Elddis Crown. After discovering we liked caravanning we embarked on a lot of searching and viewing different makes we soon upgraded to a 2010 Elddis Avante which suited our requirements much better. Ok I admit part of me just wanted to keep up with the Jones's by turning up on site with a 'modern' van, but as we travel and spot other caravans I am constantly amazed how many older models are out there, many pulled by very expensive cars, they can't all be new to caravanning, can they! perhaps it just shows that caravans have not changed that much over the years, or perhaps they just don't want to part with their pride and joy.
