Brought petrol at our Tesco's yesterday 137.9p a litre. That's a penny a litre drop since my last fill.up. local Jet station was 138.9p but BP still consistently high at 147.9p. Literally round the corner to the Jet station.
Heard on? The today programme this morning about a rivet making company. Using about 100 kettle full of electric per second 😱😱. Not considered by the government as a higher user - so no help when current agreement ends very soon. Will be pay forty something per unit, signed up to only deal on offer months ago, but when it kicks in very soon he said current market rate twenty something per unit. Can't be completely certain on the actual figures as I was rather taken aback by all the figures

Posted on 17/04/2023 20:25 by WherenextBut Tesco's, our local supermarket, is still raking it in at nearly £1.60 pl for diesel. They have the nerve to say they are doing all they can to help their customers.

Cynical? Moi?
Read a strap line on Martin Lewis' MSE email saying Morrisons were usually the best place to get the cheapest fuel and especially at the moment as they have a £0.05 off if you spend over £35. We passed their petrol station yesterday, charging £163.9 pl. Full £0.15 pl more than the garage I mentioned the other day and even £0.05 more than the local Shell.
So where's the incentive? Sounds like Profiteering to me.
