I've followed the national trust thread with interest but what about English Heritage and value for money.
A standard membership for a couple costs £88 with the NT.
With EH a joint membership is £82
With the NT a family membership costs a little more and children can have their own for £25.
With EH up to six children under 19 can accompany a member.
NT has 300 properties
EH 400
Good value!
