Hi everyone,

We wanted you to be the first to know about a new member offer with My Esso Card. The My Esso Card is a fuel card that provides savings at 1,300 Esso fuel stations to help drive down the cost of touring. Members are guaranteed to save on fuel at every Esso station across the UK with the only consumer facing fuel card.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

What is the saving?

On average members will typically save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and the Esso pump price rate. In the unlikely event that the pump price is lower than the My Esso Card special rate members are guaranteed to save 1p per litre on the pump price. You can use the My Esso Card to fill up all your vehicles, not just the one you tour with.

There are no fees to sign up and no transaction or processing fees. You can also earn your Tesco Clubcard points when filling up.

We are also running a competition for members for a chance to win free fuel.

To launch this great new offer, My Esso Card are giving Caravan and Motorhome Club members an exclusive chance to win free fuel. 10 lucky winners will win 175 litres of fuel and another 10 lucky winners 75 litres of fuel!  Members need to register for a card and fill by 31 December 2018 to be entered into the random prize draw.  Winners will automatically have the fuel credit added to their My Esso Card account.

To find out more about this member offer visit My Esso Card Member Offer on the Club website

I downloaded the original T&C and it says 15 litres.

Quote:

"3.11 The use of the Fuel Card by the Cardholder is subject to the Cardholder drawing at least 15 litres of Fuel in each transaction. For each transaction that the
Cardholder draws less than 15 litres of Fuel, Pump-King is entitled to charge the Cardholder a £1 administration fee."

When I posted this earlier today I did not realise that the T&Cs had been changed without anyone knowing. This cannot be MORALLY or LEGALLY correct.

The time has now come for Rowena or, better still, someone in real authority in this club to come onto this forum and explain, without equivocation, exactly what is going on and what the club is going to do about it.

I tried to access login, which had previously worked only to find that site was refusing connections, to establish whether card number had been issued. It hasn't but PIN number has

I had concerns that this was an elaborate scam, as I have telephoned only to be told to email details of issue, hence searched for a discussion topic to find out more.

I like many of you am still waiting to receive card, was a little concerned that its only debit cards that are the only payment method, but put my faith in the "club" having done the due diligence on members behalf

Thanks to Watendlath for highlighting the changes in terms and conditions and fully support his stance on the fact that a statement from the club is needed.

I used my card for the first time last friday (11th) and I haven't had my account debited either. The receipt for the fuel showing the discounted amount was entered onto my online essocard (Pump King now) account on Wednesday (15th). The discounted cost was exactly as per last weeks text price. Will update when transaction shows on my current account.

I've also noticed that their telephone number has changed on their website.

On Tuesday I phoned them on 0203 468 8578 which was from the myessocard website. Today on the Pump-King website the number is 0203 962 2335

Tried both numbers and permanently engaged.

Still waiting for a response to my emails and still no sign of a refund for the duplicated transaction.

We really need the person responsible for bringing this to the club to explain exactly what due diligence was followed ( I now doubt any) and what binding assurances the club received that this whole scheme is above board and to the real benefit of members.
