Saving weight means saving fuel

If you are caravanning in autumn/winter, or on a multiple site tour, why not travel without your awning? The weight saving should improve your fuel consumption. You could buy your food at the nearest supermarket, rather than take it with you from home. On a week or longer trip, you could take fewer clothes, and do your laundry at the CC site partway through the trip. Have the smallest caravan that you feel comfortable in, and the most efficient car that you can afford. Have a rigid wall folding caravan and cut down on wind resistance when towing.
