Take what you can

Because we are limited on the weight we can take in the van we waste so much money on buying things when we arrive on site.

I like to have all my favourite herbs, spices and sauces in the cupboard for cooking with and making BBQ marinades so I have some lightweight plastic spice containers that I got from Ebay (similar size to the Schwartz ones).  Before we go I just put a few teaspoons of what I need in them so I don’t end up buying full jars of things when we get there.

I also make sure I have a handful of the 2 in 1 washing powder tablets in the van.  They are handy for hand-washing or using in the site washing machines so I don’t need to buy powder and softener from the site shop at inflated prices.
