Having read the previous review, I'm afraid to say that we were the 'other couple' stuck in the mud. The truth is that we wouldn't have even attempted the trip (even with a 4x4) had we not been reassured that the site was fine when we phoned ahead the day before. We would have appreciated the owner checking the field as we were obviously the first people on it this season. I think a little more attention should be paid to the caravan storage area adjacent to the site as it does make the area look a little tatty. That having been said, the owner did his best helping us to recover the caravan although obviously we didn't stay. Sorry, but there are better sites in the area.
