A great CL

Stayed at Barff Farm end of June,we where greeted by the owner on arrival & shown to our pitch, the pitch we stayed was grass, think there is a hard standing pitch, the views are excellent ,also there is a walk through the field to a small stream & if you are lucky you could see a Kingfisher, other birds near the site are small owls, Barn owls, this is a CL that we will be returning to as it is soo peaceful.

Relaxing stay

Wonderful CL’ We had a very nice 4 nights at Barff Farm earlier this month, & would have happily stayed longer, but every pitch was booked for the following weekend, which is testimony of just how good the site is ! We were greeted by ’Sheila’ on arrival, & were made very welcome as she guided us to out pitch, which was well situated & level. The £15 daily charge was very reasonable for the EHU & toilet wash area, which was kept spotless & safe. We were surrounded by beautiful flowers & greenery, & loved the wildlife around the farm. A nest box adjacent to our caravan had been adopted by feeding great tits, & really entertained us during our stay. An amazing barn owl regularly hunted through the trees at dusk, & we even found a Roe deer on one of the local walks on the rural tracks. We had our bikes with us & made good use of the many bridle ways & quiet roads in the area. Fish & chips from the village, & then a meal at the nearby ‘Red Lion’, Dunston during one of our bike rides were welcome too. We even had a great day out in Lincoln from the nearby railway station (£13 return for our group of 4)! Thanks to sites like this, we’re now fans of CL’s over the busy & expensive Club sites. We’ll be back ! Derek & Joan Baker Nottingham.

Beautiful CL

Stayed this last weekend at Barff Farm. it is everything a CL should be! You couldn't ask for more. Very well kept site with beautiful gardens. Lots of bird boxes with different birds in - even some little owls in the farm garden. Lovely sport for wildlife watching. Walked into Metheringham to the pub and to the Co-op. Definitely recommend!

Rural Serenity

This is a lovely CL buried deep in the Lincolnshire countryside, with a lovely botanical bog garden. If you want peace and tranquillity, this is the place. Good footpaths around the area, and opportunities for spotting wildlife. With no light pollution, the night sky is truly amazing if you get a few cloudless nights. I sat up far too late just gazing at the beauty and scale of it, and the milky way is so clear. Just the place to unwind and empty your mind. Thank you to Michelle and Gary for allowing us to share your little corner of rural England.

Beautiful

We arrived here on the last night of our holiday. It was so beautiful and peaceful and a lovely welcome, we wished we could have stayed long. I just wanted to get put the lounger and lay there for a couple of days drinking in the sunshine and relaxing. We will definitely be going back.

Peace and tranquillity

We have just spent 10 very peaceful and relaxing nights at Barff Farm. Lovely friendly and helpful owners. Our only problem was of our own making, by putting the post code into our SatNav! Mrs Kitchener had to come to our rescue and guide is in on our arrival, so follow the Club direction! The site itself is away from the road and there is no traffic noise. It is well kept and very neat and tidy. Most of the trees have bird.boxes and it's lovely to wake up to birdsong in the mornings. We would definitely recommend it and hope to return at some time. Mr and Mrs Kitchener even waved us off when we left.

We enjoyed our stay at Barff Farm for 3 nights in July 2020. The site is very peaceful surrounded by footpaths. Easy walk into Metheringham. Site is well kept level and clean and owners extremely welcoming.

Highly recommended

We have just had the most relaxing weekend on this beautiful, immaculate site. Greeted on arrival the owners are friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. A lovely quiet site in a rural location with stunning wildlife and beautiful gardens. Immaculate water and waste area - although the toilet is currently closed due to Covid. There are ample walks from the site and it is a great area for cycling. We will definitely be back :) Thank you for a great weekend.

What the doctor ordered

This is our second visit to Barff Farm within a month and have to say it is beautiful, very quite, relaxing with great walks for our two dogs. Met on both occasions by Michelle who was very friendly and filled us in straight away about our surroundings.Within easy walking distance of Metheringham with a coop, pubs, takeaways, good butchers with a great selection of fresh produce. The site is very well kept. Water and waste very clean. There is a wc which is very quaint, very clean and usable. Well definitely be returning in the not to distant future.
