I cannot express how grateful we are to the owner of this site. We rarely book in advance as we just drive, then ring around from about 4/5pm. However we really misjudged on this particular day last week. I started ringing around 6.30/7. I didn't get an answer from anybody. I finally rang this site at 7.45pm (as we'd obviously travelled further towards where we were heading by then). I apologised for ringing so late but Mr Eccleston couldn't have been more accommodating. He wasn't even at the site. He was having a couple of days break but said he'd ring the on site warden and ring me back. As good as his word, he did. He couldn't get hold of the warden but told us just to pitch up when we got there. He gave me the code to get in and pitch number. The fee was £15 (no problem to us whatsoever!) and he asked us to leave it in the honesty box. I was so touched by his trust I gave him my name, membership number, phone number and offered the van reg number which he declined. He could have quite easily just said no. The site itself is lovely and very well organised and maintained. Full recycling facilities, hook up, etc. Toilet and shower very clean with full disabled access. We were very impressed. Oh and the wifi IS NOT £150 a night. Ha ha. It's £1.50! Cheaper than the club sites! We didn't use it though as we didn't arrive until 9pm and we were exhausted. We have a motorhome and use all of our own facilities. We literally needed a stop off before going to Farmer Phils music festival in Shropshire, so that we could shower, then fill up with water, empty the loo, etc. We were very impressed by both how accommodating the owner was and the site itself. We'll DEFINITELY be back! Thank you!
