Ease of arrival/welcome

Not what we expected

This site is more a grass verge than a site, which has a public right of way right next to your outfit. Doesn’t have the feel of a site at all. We were not told till arrival that we would be charged £5 extra a night to put up an awning, (no ground sheets allowed) AND another £5 a night to put air windbreaks up, supposedly for the cost of grass seed he would have to put down. This needs to be put on his page for transparency The owner had 4 dogs which were allowed to run off lead around the pitches using them as a toilet. There was no covid practices. The facilities were in the stable yard and the toilet had never been cleaned in months and was unusable. The only saving grace about this site it was close to visiting some lovely places such as Windsor and Henley. We left early and won’t be returning

Oh dear! Hopefully people will read the reviews from before these two individual people arrived and who  obviously mistook it for an urban site. This seems to be a slight attack on the Caravan Club as they obviously would have approved the location and facilities, although I see that actually a toilet is NOT included on this site either and YES, it does say its a working Farm so please expect animals, the occasional travelling fox through the site leaving a present and as mostly organic I would imagine trying to preserve as much of the pristine and stunning grounds as possible without multiple stripy windbreaks , 30 foot flag poles, groundsheets and whirlygig clotheslines etc,, go to Butlins folks!
