Super CL

This is an amazing CL. Superb views. Great pitches with own water and hook up. Lovely facilities very clean and spacious. Excellently located for easy walking access to the coastal path, beaches and Abersoch. Lovely, friendly team in the farm shop and managing the site. A real gem of a site. Don’t be put off by grass pitches the ground was good despite a fair amount of rain during our stay.

Beautiful views and fantastic location (and a Farm Shop / Cafe) September 2022

We pulled in for a coffee at the Abersoch Farm shop and cafe which is behind the site, in our motorhome whilst looking for a 2 night stay somewhere. The views are amazing of the sea with mountains beyond. We asked about availability and the owner was really friendly and cheerful and offered us pitch no. 6 at the back on really well draining grass (it rained heavily overnight). The toilets and showers were very clean (50p for 3 mins). Lovely walk down a track through the golf course to the beach and small town centre. We have to say this was our favourite site on our North Wales tour; quiet site, fabulous views, farm shop and breakfast and clean modern toilets and showers. The photo here doesn’t do it justice and there has obviously been quite a lot of improvements since it was taken. Highly recommended!

May bank holiday 2018

We have just enjoyed a lovely 3 night break at this site. The pitches were spacious with EHU and water taps nearby making some pitches almost serviced. All the pitches have fabulous views across the golf course to the sea with the mountains in the distance. We were on pitch 1 with a fence on one side of us which made us feel quite private. Although we use the facilities in our motorhome, I always have a look in the toilet/shower block out of interest. There were 4 showers and 4 toilets in one block and they were sparklingly immaculate. Rubbish and recycling bins were neat and clearly marked. The grass was mown while we were there and the fence was re-painted on one day which didn't look like it needed it really. There are about a dozen seasonal caravans in a separate area below the touring site but only about 3 were being used during our visit, and one couple in particular were very pleasant and friendly. A footpath just down the road takes you to the beach and into Abersoch. There's plenty of walking around the area. There's an abundance of caravan sites of varying sizes all over the area. Many of which seem to have mainly seasonal or statics. Some packed them in like sardines and were pricey and others seemed noisy. Bodlondeb, although a working farm, was peaceful and relaxing and we felt we had made the best choice to stay on this site. The farmer and his family were friendly and helpful and at £20 per night was good value. We will definitely be back

beautiful peaceful site

I have stayed on the site several time over a number of years as the other reviews say it is a working farm overlooking the golf course with the most stunning views and on a clear day you can see as far as Harlach the pitches are very spacious in comparison to other sites in the area the turn into the site is sharp and in school holidays the road can become extremely busy out of season it is peaceful and tranquil It had a new heated shower an toilet facility in August 2016 highly recommend this site

August 2015

We recently stayed at this CL site and in our 12 years as members have only used a handful of CL sites due to young family and places we visit etc.... This site is a working farm and appeared to have two fields one as the CL part and another with another 11 vans sited. However, the arrival was as described, it is a tight turn into the site but is well signposted. The pitches are clearly marked out and are extremely generous in size compared to most others in the area. The view from our pitch, 4 was outstanding. We were sat on a higher piece of ground overlooking the Abersoch golf course and Sarn Bach beach with the Snowdonia mountain range in the distance. Perhaps the best view I have ever had from a pitch. The pitch had EHU and mains water so could nearly be described as part serviced, and all for £18. Per night.  There was no pressure on arrival and the I had to approach the owners to pay, which shows how relaxing this was...... The shower was clean and was a pay as you use toilet used both everyone on site. Never had any issue when I used and with mains water this was not too often. The toilet was clean and again used by everyone on site but never had to wait. The site was close to a road but never really a problem and the farm didn't cause any problems to us or other pitches. I would definitely return to this site and try and get the same pitch.

Good view of the coast

Agree with previous comments about this site being more than just a CL, but for us this did not detract.  We had a level pitch with views towards the coast and Snowdonia beyond, to the extent that we woke early one morning to catch the sunrise over the distant mountains - without leaving the comfort of our bed.  We chose this site so we could walk the coast without driving from the site and were not disappointed, it's location is well placed.  Not the cheapest CL we've used but Abersoch generally was relatively pricey - at least on the basis of ice-creams!

A Mixed Bag

We stayed for a long weekend in Aug 15 with 2 grandchildren. Good points are spacious pitches, all with electricity and some with individual water supply and great views to the coast and a very friendly owner, Mrs Edwards. Also just a comfortable walk, 20 mins approx. into Abersoch. There is one large room with toilet and washbasin with hot water plus a separate large but shabby shower room (20p coin for 2 mins but no hot water during our stay). Not a great issue if you can use your own caravan's facilities. Bad points are - yes, it's a CL, but the next field (through same entrance) operates as a commercial site - I counted 14 units there during our stay). The limited facilities - 1 toilet and 1 shower - are there for the benefit of all! The site is part of a small working farm and you may be woken up earlier than you would wish by tractors etc. It's not awful but there are better locations around Abersoch.

totally enjoyable

This is not a 5 CL site as such, it has another site attached to it which they are extending which we think will spoil the atmosphere of the site. Be warned, site can easily be missed and the turn in is quite tight. The site is next to a fairly busy road, which can be noisey at times. Apart from this we had a wonderful time, the views made it and the owners are very friendly.

Good view

0.8 Mile out of Abersoch on the A499 towards Aberdaron. Hilltop field overlooking bay. Good location, pleasant place to stay with one toilet with hot water on tap and one shower (20p for 2 minutes), keep your eye on the door if the site is full as you might need to be quick, plus a chemical waste point. Very relaxed and informal, pleasant owners who are only too willing to please, no hassle or rush about collecting pitch fees and I took a short walk to the house to pay (£18 per night with electricity) The road can be busy and has no pavement for most of the way into Abersoch as we were in a motorhome, we found it much easier (and safer) to turn left out of the campsite and walk the opposite way to Abersoch, take the next road on the left and either walk down to the beach or through the Golf course to Abersoch, about 40 minutes and a really nice walk. A taxi back was our preferred option after a beer and a meal and cost £4.00 (July 2014). Some great places to eat in Abersoch and we enjoyed the food at The living Room and The Egryyn B&B. All in all a great place to stay, handy for Abersoch, water and electricity on each pitch, pleasant views, and even with the road a quiet site, would definitely use again when in the area.

Amazing views of the bay

Spent 10 nights at this CL in August. Phoned owner on arrival and was told to pick a pitch to the right side of the site (the left side already being full). We pitched with the caravan facing amazing, uninterrupted views of the bay and the mountains beyond (across the sea). Great to have a toilet and shower on site, hot water on tap. A 15 minute walk into Abersoch, although partly with no pavement. Only downside to the site was that it was a little exposed when the inevitable Welsh weather set in. But what a view!
