Ease of arrival/welcome

Do your homework before booking this site in WINTER or pay the price!

We had to leave after booking seven nights having only managed 3. The site claims hard standing, it was ankle deep in mud. This site is ONLY hard standing in the dry summer months. Wonderful views in fairness but it is very badly maintained right from the very difficult entrance and broken pathway leading to the site. I wish I could put photos on here they would shock you. It shocked us. The sewage/Elsan point stinks to high hell and is only one and half metres apart from your FRESH DRINKING WATER, fury moss lay all around your fresh water supply. We demanded our money back and left, we were covered in mud inside and out of both our car and caravan and in such a mess it was not possible to move on to another site to clean up so we had to return home a five and half hour journey. One motorhome arrived who took a look and pulled straight off site, not so easy when you're towing. I am sure this is a wonderful place in warm DRY weather but if you go in winter having read this you have only yourself to blame for a rotten stay. Sorry to be negative about this potentially lovely located site but I am telling the whole truth and nothing but.
