Beautiful spot

Very remiss of me not to have reviewed this site before because it is lovely. We stayed here in July of 2015 for 5 nights and for most of that time we were on our own. The owners are extremely nice people and were quite happy to stop for a chat. The site has almost 360 degree views, the house itself being the only thing in the way. There are views back towards Newton Stewart and the mountains, across towards the Lake District, which we did see one day over the water, and around to the Isle of Man. The Isle of Whithorn is very attractive especially on a sunny day, as is Garlieston. A short way along the road from Garlieston is the entrance to the Galloway House gardens, and from there is a lovely walk along the shoreline and up through the woods to the top of Cruggleton cliffs and the small remaining ruins of Cruggleton Castle. It's a long way along the drive to the start of the walk but there is a car park and it's a very good idea to drive there, bearing in mind the walk that follows. All in all, we had an extremely pleasant and relaxing time there.
