Peaceful Norfolk

This is a delightful CL in an area of Norfolk, which we had not previously explored, but found that it has much to offer. The CL is well laid out so that all pitches can have an outlook across a neighbouring meadow to the church. The grass is well cared for, with clippings collected. As other have commented, the access needs care, but is not a problem, even for long outfits. The CL is bounded by open fencing and wel kept low hedges, so that the boundary is well defined, but leaves an open aspect to the site. We visited in August, and worried that the area would be very crowded. However, we found that this is the quieter end of the Broads, and, providing you were prepared to walk a bit, surprisingly deserted sandy beaches nearby (which are also dog-friendly). We can recommend the Small Sticks cafe near Cart Gap, which does excellent fish and chips early on Thursday and Friday evenings.

Quiet site

This is a well kept, quiet site. Access is from a narrow lane. The double gate is fine to get in but needs another pair of eyes to exit. The view is somewhat restricted by the bend of the road. Just a little care is required. Pitches are pre allocated with a name marked on the pitch marker. I know it's a personal choice but I prefer to choose a pitch. The ground drained well after a deal of rain. The grass is regularly cut and collected so no trailing of grass cuttings into the van.

Bush House Farm Review

Lovely CL site in idyllic setting and perfectly located for access to the Broads and the beautiful county of Norfolk.  Very nice and helpful owners too. Have stayed several times and will always visit again.

EXCELLENT

Very welcoming owners who have local knowledge of all places of interest etc. A small but very spacious site which is immaculately kept with views over the fields to the local church, plenty of wildlife. Near to everything the Broads have to offer - walking, cycling down quiet lanes, canoeing, sailing, bird reserves and a short drive from lovely sandy beaches.

A nice find

We managed to get lost twice on the way into this CL, in the last quarter mile. Turn into New Road, pass St Michaels Road, and left at the next juction and you are there. Easy really. The Cl is very well kept and we were welcomed by the owners who allocated the pitch. They are happy for visitors to site the van in any direction they choose for the best sun/view. It is a very peaceful site and close to all the usual Broads villages. For eating I would recommend the Brige Inn at Wayford and The Bridge Inn at Acle. Actually most of the riverside pubs on the Broads do excellent meals. We took a picnic boat from Whispering Reeds at Hickling (only two miles away) and cruised the quieter waters above Potter Heigham Bridge for the day. We will definately return.

Lovely CL

We visted this little CL in July and enjoyed our short stay immensely. The site is kept to a very high standard with mowed grass and a tidy service area, complete with flower pots. We have a twin axle and are always cautious with access to CL's, this one was easy. A credit to the owners and looking forward to returning soon.

Brilliant

We have stayed on this CL twice. Both times in August 2011 + 2012. With children, it is hard to find nice CLs that allow children. But both times others we have met and the owners have been fantastic. The site is extremly clean, quiet and accessable. We have a large twin wheel caravan and can easily manouver into the site an pitch easily. The owners are very polite and friendly, eevn taking delivery of a package we had delivered to their house!!!. We were even allowed to have an extra car on the first holiday as not to cost so much running around Norfolk in our 4x4. Lots to be done in the area with excellent beaches. Credit to the club this site. Thank you
