A WEEKEND STAY AT BUTTERCUP NURSERY - JUNE 2013

A great site with a great welcome. All the previous reviews cover the many advantages of the site. The only (very slight) downside is that you get some road noise from the M5, but only when the wind is in the right direction. A site that I would have no hesitation in recommending to club members.

Buttercup by name and buttercup by nature

What a lovely welcome from Harry and Ruth who can't do enough to make your stay comfortable. The field is a lovely carpet of buttercups and we had the site to ourselves most of the BH week in May and used it as a base to visit family and friends and the crazy Cheese Rolling on Coopers Hill which is just a 10 minute drive away. 15 minutes to the centre of Gloucester and 10 minutes to The Cotswold Way for fantastic walks through Cranham Woods. Tesco superstore 5 minutes away and a smaller Co-op just 2 minutes away. Fantastic, give it a go if your coming this way.

Tranquillity with convenience

A quiet and peaceful site on the eastern edge of Gloucester with easy access from the major routes. A more welcoming arrival and friendly hosts (Harry and Ruth) you could not wish for. While there are no toilet or shower facilities all the essential services are to hand. A relatively small site but it is unlikely to be heavily occupied; we were the only unit on our recent weekend. I would recommend highly this site to anyone looking for a tranquil break but with convenient access to the city sights.

great cl

not many people know of this cl - it is a quiet, level site just off the M5 - very easy to get to and harry and ruth are a lovely couple. It is no longer a working nursery so you don't get loads of people coming in Ok - so there's no toilet or shower - but do you really need these - i doubt that there is anyone caravanning today who does not have a toilet and shower in there van - and be honest - would you go out of your house and use a public loo and shower when you are at home - of course not - so why do you need to do this when out in your van. Come on - give this site a try. we found it at the end of May and have come here again for August bank holiday - THERE IS NO ELSE ON SITE AND THIS IS THE BANK HOLIDAY
