We have been using this site for a number of years and always found it to be first class, peace and tranquility in a lovely scenic location.
Unfortunately on our last visit this was not the case, during our last weekend a number of adults and children complete with an out of control dog arrived on the Friday.
This group of people arrived with one caravan and erected two large tents on the cl. The dog accompanying them was allowed to run around the cl barking and fouling the site for the whole two days we remained, complete with a large number of children kicking a football etc around the caravans already on site.
Saturday night appeared to be party night with the adults drinking and making a noise until the early hours. Luckily for us we left the following morning never to return.
There are plenty of other good cl's in the Welshpool area so will be using one of these as I think this could now be a regular event at this cl.
Good value site in quiet rural location
Final mile to site is narrow and winding but not much traffic on road. Be prepared to reverse a bit.
Beautiful view from pitch. Owners are friendly and everything is clean. Very good value.

Excellent value for money...
Although the final access road in was very narrow for our 8.2 m motorhome with caution it was manageable and well worth the effort. Great surroundings, peaceful site and very helpful and friendly owners. With a clean loo and shower all in for the £10 per night price it was excellent value for money. Well placed for visiting Powis Castle the Lake Vrnwy Reservoir - both amazing locations.

Quiet and peaceful with lovely view
The lawned site was sloping but a few levelling blocks soon put us right, quiet and peaceful with its own entrance/exit from the road our pitch as with the others enjoyed a beautiful view across the fields to the south.
Electricity at every spacious pitch, WC and shower (£1 to be left on the windowsill) annexed to main house and all for £10/night.
Two things that did concern us, one was a notice above the tap asking clients to boil their water and two, the walk to the WC/shower was past a building where the foundations had collapsed and the wall was close to collapse.
Overall a very nice site at a very nice price.
Charming
Returned today from this excellent site. Our first CL after taking up caravanning again after a 35 year break. This couldn't have been a better introduction.
A genuine warm welcome and help in choosing some hard standing as the grass was wet and the site slightly sloping. An excellent modern heated WC and shower. Lovely location with superb views nearby. Very close to footpath network including The Glyndwr Way. Fully professional electric hook up to each pitch included in the price of £10 per nght (December 2016). Good TV reception.
Locally visit Welshpool (market day on Mondays) Nat Trust Powis Castle, Welshpool and Llanfair light steam railway, Coed y Dinas country store and garden centre and more.
Many thanks.

What a wonderful site
We have been using this site for over 4 years and absolutely love it. Even with its slope, the views are well worth it. Can't fault this site at all
Beautiful setting
We stayed here for the first 2 nights of a 2 week tour of Wales. The peace, tranquility and beautiful scenery were just what we needed after a 6 hour journey. By the time we left we were perfectly chilled and ready for our trip. The facilities were spotlessly clean and better than some homes. Mrs Andrew was very welcoming but we were left to our own devices which was just what we wanted. Would highly recommend.

A little gem in the welsh hills
What can I say ..... What a beautiful site set in the hills of welshpool, the only sounds to be heard were those of the sheep and lambs bleeting.... Went here with my husband and 2 young children who had a ball... The owner was with us before we had chance to pick a plot which was a good thing as with there being do much rain we got a bit stuck in the grass .... Nothing was A problem he got his 4x4 pitched our caravan up then towed us out of our hole ( which at this point was quite deep with the husband trying to get out himself ) must be a man thing ..... The owner let us and our children in to see all the lambs in his sheds and told us all about them .. Blew the kids minds with the cuteness of the lambs ..... The owner was so helpful and accommodating and even let us stay later on our day if departure and helped pull the caravan off the field ...... Will definitely be back to this site soon .... Absolutely lovely and a beautiful view too ......thank you very much Mr Andrew for an enjoyable stay .....

Maes Mawr
Pleasantly surprised as it was in a lovely location for walking set up on a sheep farm, so idyllic we stayed another night and just chilled out and enjoyed the views. Very good value at £10 a night with super modern shower for £1 and hot water in the sink. Slight slope so might need leveling blocks but we didn't bother. A good CL.
