What a lovely find. Very peaceful, flat field. Each pitch has water and electric hook up. The horses in the adjacent field are lovely company. There’s lots of info on the noticeboard, including easy to follow walks. I did the short walk. Took a photo of it on my phone so I could follow it. And I didn’t get lost! The cafe and the pub are about half way along the canal towpath. Both were open. Had a lovely tea and cake break in the middle of the walk. Then a gentle stroll back to the site. Very pleasant afternoon. Considering I was only here for one night, seemed to pack a lot in. I never saw the owner but had a nice conversation on the phone when I arrived. She was very pleasant and helpful. Lovely views of the Downs too. Not far from home so will definitely come again. Perfect for a weekend retreat!
