Perfect one night stay

Stayed here for one night recently and didn't want to leave. Would happily stay for a longer period. Site is moderately sloped but only in one direction. Did not need blocks at all. Access is perfect (really easy from the A38) and the welcome second to none. Very quiet site with wonderful views. We walked to the pub in Pentrich (the Dog) which took all of 20 minutes across flat beautiful fields virtually all the way. Great location for visiting Matlock, Matlock Bath, Crich tramway museum (Which is well worth a visit if you like working museums), Gulliver's Kingdom in Matlock Bath. Chatsworth House, Denby Pottery, McArther Glen outlet village (Junction 28 of the M1) to name but a few. Will definitely be re-visiting again this year and beyond, probably more than once.

well worth a visit

just had three nights on this cl on our way home from down south - must say we enjoyed it very much , the site is on a slope so you may need ramps but the views are lovely and the welcome from the owners very warm it is handy for visiting matlock etc and close to crich tram museum but to be honest after visiting this museum we wont be going again it was boring and expensive at £13 you can ride the trams as many times as you like but who wants to see the same piece of scenery over and over again and once we had seen the trams in the sheds that was about it so we had less than two hours here - the site is at the rear of the house up quite a long drive way and access is good tv wasn't brilliant reception but we got most channels for any one who likes a quiet site with scenery this is the place to be

Many thanks for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay here. The CL owner has been in touch to advice that caravans shouldn’t require ramps as it is a gentle slope. He hopes to see you again soon.
