Not Recommended

Will not stay here again,as found the owner ignorant and had no idea of sorting a mistake out by other people parking in our marked spot when we went for tea, left our levelling blocks and hook up lead next to the pitch number,to find someone else had taken it when we got back, not only that he used our hook up lead also, could not believe it,and the other member said it was a mistake and refused to move so the owner came over n=and asked us to pitch somewhere else,I dont thin so,also the views were blocked by horse trailers pulling up in front of you and not giving a hoot,he does not care at all, only about his livery yard,do not stay here.

This was our second time staying at Covert Farm and hope not the last. Very friendly place had long talk/laugh with Keith. The views are nice with many horses in the field right next to the site, loads of pheasants as well.Rained in the morning so did not get chance to go explore local area so next time... Many thanks.

Bank Holiday Break

We were lucky to book into the site late for the bank holiday. Site is very secure with large gates and an access code given on booking. Site is sloping so blocks may be needed. Some pitches have views of the countryside. Facilities basic but perfectly functional. Site is quiet though some road noise was experienced especially on pitch 5, which runs along side the road. We also had difficulty with getting a satellite signal on pitch 5 until we pitched at the lower end of the pitch. Owner very pleasant and can deliver newspapers and eggs may also be available. Had a walk in the wood but never got to walk around the farm down to the lakes, however happy to do so next time as we would be happy to return to the site.

Relaxing Location

Ideal site for us when visiting our family in Northampton. City centre easily reached in 25 mins. Very nice views of the Northamptonshire countryside, we too have also seen the fox trotting by. Facilities are good as well as the security. Entrance to site when van is hooked-up needs some care but not a real issue. Friendly owner and staff.

Nice views

Back from a one night stay at this CL. Apart from first getting into the site all was ok. Nice views over the local countryside with lots of horses in the neighbouring fields plus a fox trotting right by the site. Will use again.

Ideal

Tranquil beautiful surrounding, only 5 pitches with plenty of room and all facilities easily accessible. Lots of places to visit only a short drive away, the owner provided us with a lot of information booklets which was very helpful.  Beautiful scenic walks through the fields.

Lovely views a bit of road noise

Arrival was easy and we selected our pitch and didn't see the owner until the second day.  Lovely views and wooded area to walk in. Excellent dog walking from site. The  site isn't very big , there were only two on when we stayed which was great but it may feel tight when full. The only downside is the road running along the site which although a country lane is quite busy and cars travel quite quickly . Not awful but you're aware of the noise from early morning to evening.

Enjoyable stay despite the weather!

This is a very well laid out and managed site with exceptional views and very good shelter from South and West. Pitches have dedicated power outlets and are adequate in size. Slightly sloping but absolutely no problem. Water, chemical and grey waste facilities are unusually good for a CL, although a ramp to the grey water waste point would be a real bonus. Very peaceful. very welcoming and very well kept. Access is by code through initially imposing steel doors, but we soon got used to them! There is a painted CC sign outside, but a CC sticker on the doors would be helpful for regular CL users. Overall an excellent site with really good access to a lot of pleasant country. Thank you.

Covert farm

When we arrived on site ,we were met with a realy nice lady with a package descibing the site and things to do in the area. There is splenty of walks in the area. Although our main reason for staying was to visit Althorp. There were plenty of other place's to see. The view's from the site is lovely overlooking a valley. Security is excelent having to enter through high doors, which the code is changed every week. Mr Williams came to see us, before we left to make sure every thing had been ok. Facilerty's ie water etc.were all close at hand. all in all, an excelent four days.
