Just returned from 7 nights at Crimson Hill. We are still new to caravaning and this was the first time that we had ventured away from a "proper" CC site, so were a little apprehensive and not sure what to expect. Any concerns we had disappeared immediately. Kevin met us on arrival and gave a quick tour of the site. He was friendly and approachable. The field had a slight slope (hardly worth getting leveling blocks out), the grass was short and there was lots of space between pitches. The views over the valley were lovely and it was very peaceful and relaxing. Only 5 or 6 miles from the motorway and within reach of Exmoor, the south Devon Coast, the North Devon/Somerset coast and a number of NT properties. Only gave 4 stars to ease of arrival because final half mile or so is pretty narrow (glad we didn't meet anyone coming the other way) - but I guess that contributes to the peace and quiet. Also the CL sign was a bit hidden in the hedge. A super week and we will return. If the next CL we visit is half as nice as this we will be delighted.
