New Well Laid Out Site With Good Access To York
Access to the site is easy, no narrow lanes, and a wide turning splay in. As a result there is some road noise from the adjacent lane but this is not continuous and should not put you off from coming.
Like the previous reviewer we stayed in early August when there was a larger than expected occupancy of the site. Yes there are 12 bays but not all are used at any one time and it gives the owners flexibility and the ability to rest bays so that grass can regrow where it has suffered from die back due to groundsheets.
As for the flames from the barbecue referred to by the earlier reviewer this is something they should have raised at the time with the members of the club using the barbecue we would have done.
Access to York via the park and ride or via the normal bus service is exceptional.
The site does not have a picturesque view across a Yorkshire valley or moor but it does have a very good access to York and the Aircraft Museum.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and it is a site to which we would return.
