Absolute gem of a find

We stayed here for a night to visit our daughter who lives nearby. We will definitely be back. The site is slightly sloping but nothing that can't be sorted by levelling your MH on chocks. Although a working farm the place is kept immaculately. The toilet is clean and well kept. The owner Florence deserves way more than 5 stars. So much knowledge of the local area and happy to help with directions. You can access the Bristol to Bath cycleway at Bitton station which is a few minutes by bike and a lovely flat ride into Bath. Overall I can't find fault with this site. Beautiful. Thanks Florence.

Family Holiday

We came to this CL site with our 3 children and our dog. The site is magnificent bit the best of all is the owner Florence, she gives you a brief about places of interest, food, shops in the surrounding area. Also very near to Bristol City center (20mins) and Bath (15mins). Would 100% recommend even with children as it is very safe for them to play around and the kids made Fantastic friends.

bath visit

Nice site, bit sloping but not too bad, came in November in our motorhome as wanted to visit Bath, bus stop a good 25 min walk down a muddy lane which wasn't so good coming back as was very dark and also bus took a good half hour so further out than we realised, yes toilet was hard to find, no signs but all in all not bad site, probably better in summer as could use the cycle path.

Great position to access the cycle path

We stayed 2 nights, as its close to the cycle path, we had a nice welcome. when I booked I had been warned that it might be a little noisy until around 10pm as the village play was beening held in the evenings, we did not find it noisy at all. I had read the reviews before booking so was prepared for the sloping pitch, yes the toilet has only cold water but this was not a issue for us. We enjoyed our stay and loved watching the horses in the field beside us. Yes we would stay again as very pleasant site.

Bristol visit

Arrived at the site, pitched up on a very sloping pitch. Went to look for the toilets etc but no signs to them,in the end we had to ask a neighbouring caravanner who told us were they were.through the yard and through a gate, still no signs,we had also knocked at 2 doors,no answer.would never had thought to go through the gate,so a few signs are needed.over all a pleasant stay and would come again.

Sloping site

Visited in July. Not a bad site. Is on a grassy slope which could be a problem in the wet. There is a toilet and wash basin (cold water only) in a small outbuilding 150 yards away in the farmyard. Chemical toilet waste is via a lift up hatch in yard by the toilet. There is no means of rinsing the cassette, no tap nor water butt. Not a big problem, but a disabled caravanner was parked there right by his door. Not pleasant for him. £14 is top of the range for a pretty basic cl.

Perfect for Bristol

Stayed at site to visit daughter in Bristol. Access to Bristol is easy site is clean and what I have come to expect of a CL. Yes it does slope a bit and had to have the van nose down to get it level (blocks required at rear as well). Good access to shops both local convenience store (on foot) and very large Sainsburys  (in car). Slope on site may give issues in wet weather but I have 4x4 pick up and motor movers so no issue there but adjacent couple when I was on site did struggle a bit. Access to site can be a bit daunting up a narrow lane followed by a narrow private road but do not let this put you off it looks worse than it actually is. Will return again since it is perfect to uor requirements. Just a quick PS TV reption is good if that is what you want.

delightful stay

A lovely site, clean and well managed. A bit of a slope but we levelled up easily enough with our collection of blocks! Very close to park and ride facilities to take us to our tourist sites - SS Great Britain, Bath and The Clifton Suspension bridge. Excellent views across from the site and excellent TV (if you want it). Florence and Ron were extremely welcoming, thanks for a great stay!

A good stop for visiting Bristol or before carrying on to Wales or the West country

Despite my GPS guiding me through some very narrow lanes for arrival, I found a much easier route with good access to the motorway for my departure after looking around the area. Very peaceful and quiet with dark skies above. No problems with electric hookup and toilets always clean. Only problem I found was the slope of the pitches which I found difficult at first but soon got levelled up. The site lies under the flight path of Bristol airport but this is not a distraction. Very reasonable rates fora quiet touring pitch with the smell of fresh hay from the stables and a backdrop of birdsong.

A little gem!

The site is on a farm now given almost wholly over to livery. It is on a sloping field, but bricks etc. are available to help levelling and put under corner steadies. There is a lovely welcome on arrival from the owner who cuts the grass regularly and sees that the bins and recycling box are emptied frequently. The site has electric hook ups and a toilet with wash basin (cold water only). This was always clean with soap, towel and toilet paper provided. While we never found it to be a problem, access to the site is via about 1/2 mile of narrow lanes from the A4175. Bitton station on the Avon Valley Railway is about 10 mins walk away. This is also on the Bristol - Bath cycleway and has a nice café which is open even when the railway isn't running. There are also buses to both Bristol and Bath from the main road and Dyrham Park (NT) is only a short drive away. Though it's so close to Bristol, the site has a pleasant, rural outlook and feels to be a haven of peace.
