Ease of arrival/welcome

My first time!

This has been my first experience! I’ve never owned or towed a caravan before joining the Club, taking a manoeuvring course, and coming here. What a great start! Mr and Mrs Horton are so kind, helpful, and welcoming, but not intrusive. The site is beautifully maintained and quiet. I’ve been here twice for practice and there’s plenty of space, only one other pitch in use both times, and a maximum of four at any time. So, I have my caravan set up so I can look out across open fields with no one else in sight. It’s beautiful. But also very safe. Lovely if you have a dog. The site is grass, which I wanted but had concerns about getting stuck, because I don’t have a four wheel drive. But no worries here! I arrived the night after a torrential downpour, there was more rain the first night, but the lovely lawn like pitch is firm and as easy to drive on as a road. Mrs Sue Horton tells me there are nearby gravel pits, which means the area has great natural drainage. So if you want to try a grass pitch in a lovely countryside setting, this is a great place. It’s also just a short drive from great country pubs, restaurants, riverside and seaside towns to suit all tastes. So countryside and water pursuits of all types are available. I highly recommend this site for a quiet and dog friendly break, with plenty to do in the area. Nina
