Initially we pulled in to the neighbouring larger caravan site as the signage to this site was not particularly clear. The entrance to the site does not have the easiest access.  Unfortunately, the weather was extremely wet and although this had only been the case for a few days, the site ground was very soft and muddy. The site is sloping and levelling blocks would be a good idea, depending where you pitch. I would also suggest that unless you have a 4x4 or a promise of very dry weather, you might want to think this one through as we would not have got our van out of the mud without ours as it had sunk in only 4 days! Having said all of this; the views of Whitby in the distance are fantastic. The price of the site is not unreasonable and the dealings I had with the owner (only via phone) were easy and pleasant. :-)
