We couldn't of wished for anymore

After struggling to find a local CL site to stay on over May bank holiday I was relieved when I got a call from Mark to say he'd had a cancellation and did we want the pitch. Mark was both helpful on the telephone and on e-mail and arrived to meet us within half hour of us arriving. He was very friendly and advised us on local events, where a park was for our 2 young children and gave us all the information we needed regarding site facilities - we couldn't of wished for anymore. The site was lovely and the pitches were not too near to the water so was less worrying for us as parents (although we don't let them out of sight anyway!). There was some road noise but nothing that bothered us and the site was easily accessible which was perfect as we're fairly new to caravanning! The site is situated near a lovely village which has everything you need and has a pub within walking distance (but we didn't get round to trying it out). All in all we had a fabulous time and will definitely be returning sometime in the near future.

SHhhhhhs

Don't tell everyone or we will not be able to go there again. Was a bit boggy as it hadn't recovered fully from the floods earlier in the year, when it was well under water, but I think the grass was being cut the afternoon we left so that's a good sign. Only us on site for one night and we didn't venture out to the pub. visit: 8/4/14

Always a pleasure

I have stayed here 3 times and found it very relaxing. Mark will usually swing by within half hour of arriving (Always with Joe the border collie for company). The pitches are well spaced out and Mark keeps them cut with his sit on mower. There is a pub 200 yards away with great food and real ales! There is a lovely riverside walk to Welford where there are 2 pubs that are dog friendly and also serve good food. Will be here again this year!

A beautiful riverside situation

This is a very attractive site, right by the River Avon and with plenty of trees and flowers. The owner was not around when we arrived, but responded to a call on his mobile, and told us the secret of the slightly unorthodox electric hook-ups -- you have to twist the plug into the socket. There is quite a lot of traffic from boat owners, but it didn't bother us much. The village is 5 minutes' walk away, and very attractive. It is a pleasant 20 minute walk across the fields to Bidford. Plenty to do in the area.

I will return

Been to this CL on two occasions, both times we were made very welcome. it is a very pleasant site on the banks of the river, opposite the moorings for the narrow boats. do not bother taking a satellite dish, as you cannot get a signal over the trees. but you can get reasonable freeview using the normal status Ariel. Very good pub a short walk away and some very nice country walks and bridal ways. will certainly return

A lovely site

A lovely site on the banks of the river Avon it’s relaxing just watching the boats go up and down the river. We could not have been made to feel more welcome and stayed for a long weekend. The site was well kept and looked good despite the wet summer we are having. Each pitch had a wooden flower box next to the electrics which was a nice touch. The only slight down side was the cars travelling up and down the track to get to the boats. At times they appeared to be going rather quickly. This may have been more noticeable as we pitched closer to the track than normal due to the soft ground The local pub is a short walk down the road and served good food. Bidford on Avon is a 10 to 15 minute walk across the fields This is defiantly a site we will be returning to
