Mixed feelings
The last 2 reviews were written after we’d already booked and paid or I would have cancelled, so we had very low expectations! It most certainly doesn’t meet the website’s promises. There was a general unkempt feel as you drove through the farmyard, no signage to direct you to the cl part, the seasonal/ permanent pitch site you had to go through is very scruffy and the cl part was smaller than expected. We moved pitch when a caravan from the bottom front corner left in the hope we could get something like level ! It was better but still not level even on ramps ( we are in a motorhome) though the website states the hardstandings are level. The view was better there too, you could see the estuary through a gap in the trees. Not much of a view from the other pitches. There are 2 water taps, one on each side, one of which had a pipe directly connected to a caravan, not water on each pitch as described. No one greeted us or came to see us during our 5 night stay. Some information on the area , how to get to the coastal path etc would have been nice. The facilities, caravan club standard according to the website, were very strange! You had to walk through the other caravan site so you didn’t know until you got there if it was occupied or not. A single toilet, shower and basin in a large windowless breezeblock building, damp and dingy. Having said all that it was peaceful (apart from the 2 children in the caravan behind us) we saw a red squirrel from our van and lots of birds and rabbits in the mornings. We walked to moelfre and in the other direction to the lighthouse but both would be a fair hike for some. Not one for us to return to though and I certainly wouldn’t pay in advance again.
